Author did not renew the copyright in 1954 or 1955, nor was the copyright renewed for the issue of Weird Tales in which it appears.
The 2013 text on Wikisource is an abridged version of the text that appeared in Weird Tales, both the original in 1927 and the reprint in 1935.
