Usage

Simple

This template, the AMB1920 contributor link template, creates links to author pages for contributors of articles (for each article where a contributor exists).

{{AMB1920 cont link|display name of contributor|name of contributor}}

{{AMB1920 cont link|display name of contributor}}

Example:

{{AMB1920 cont link|John H. Barnhart|John Hendley Barnhart}}

produces:

John H. Barnhart.

Note about using a period

For consistency, the template already adds a period after each name so there is no need to add one inside or outside the template.

If an author page for a contributor already exists

If the link for the author page is different than the display in the encylcopedia (ie. the middle name is spelled out in the link, but only an initial on the page), use:

{{AMB1920 cont link|display name of contributor|name of contributor}}

If the display name is the same, you may use the simpler version:

{{AMB1920 cont link|display name of contributor}}

If an author page for a contributor doesn't exist

Use:

{{AMB1920 cont link|display name of contributor}}

This will create a red link for the contributor so that the author page can be created at a later time.
