This template is used to display an inverted asterism: ⁂. (It's actually a regular asterism, rotated 180° using CSS.)

There is no official position, either on English Wikisource or at Unicode, regarding the status of the symbol in question. Perhaps someday it will be added to Unicode as a separate point. Or perhaps it will be decided that it's simply a glyph variant of the regular asterism (⁂). If the issue of the inverted asterism is ever officially addressed, this template should be updated accordingly.

NOTE: this template is not related to {{asterism}} and does not work the same way as that template.
