Usage
[edit]This template can be used to indicate a stage direction in a work that uses the convention of bracketing short stage directions on the right-hand side of the text. For example:
LUC. Read there, my lord, there, in her own sad lines, {{rbstagedir|Giving a letter.}}
Which best can tell the story of her woes,
That grief of heart which your unkindness gives her. {{rbstagedir|Lothario reads.}}
becomes
LUC. Read there, my lord, there, in her own sad lines, [Giving a letter.
Which best can tell the story of her woes,
The advantages of using this template are twofold: First, it saves you the trouble of escaping a single left-bracket (since left-brackets are normally treated as part of MediaWiki's markup language). Second, it unambiguously identifies stage directions as such, in case anyone wants to feed the source code of your work to a computer program.
