Usage

This template will check if the current page has a Wikidata item with a "main subject" (P921); if no main subject exists, it will show a link to TopicMatcher which can help the user to find the main subject, and add it to the page's Wikidata item with one click.

The link is invisible by default, but you can show it by adding the following to your User CSS:

    display: inline !important;
}

Process

To add to adapted and derived forms of templates utilising {{header}}, with an example being this adaptation to Template:Compendium of Irish Biography.

Addition of the template should only be utilised where actively undertaken maintenance to resolve the addition of Wikidata items, or addition of the main subject (P921) to subpages of a work. It should not be seen as a permanent addition to any derived header template.

Tracking categories added:

• Wikidata item required if the page has no Wikidata item
• Needs main subject if the page has a Wikidata item by no main subject set

and only show works in the main namespace by current configuration.
