Used to simplify formatting of legislative chapter headings, which use a relatively consistent format throughout the early volumes of the United States Statutes at Large.
Usage
[edit]Parameters are:
- chapnum: the chapter number, in Arabic numerals
- roman: the chapter number, in Roman numerals
- title: the title of the chapter (which will be enclosed in
<section>
tags for later transclusion) - date: the date of enactment (also will be enclosed in
<section>
tags) - side: whether sidenotes should be printed in the right margin (default) or the left
- datenote: optional notes that sometimes appear in the margin below the date.
- align: whether the text of the chapter heading should be printed justified (default) or centered
- footnote: optional footnote to appear after the title
