Usage

Hyperlinks of the form United States Statutes at Large/Volume 1/1st Congress/1st Session/Chapter 20 recur frequently in the United States Statutes at Large. This template is intended to simplify the creation of such links. It accepts the following parameters:

1. Volume number
2. Congress number (stated as an ordinal value—so, “2nd” for the 2nd Congress, not “2” or “Second”).
3. Session number (also stated as an ordinal—thus, “1st,” “2nd,” or [for some Congresses] “3rd”).
4. Chapter number (arabic numerals)
5. Text to be displayed.
