This is a documentation subpage for Template:Welcome.

Usage

To welcome new contributions on User talk pages.

Copy or type the template:

{{welcome}}

or use a substitution:

{{subst:welcome}}

Substitution will not reflect updates, leaving only the content of the template on the page.

Parameters

Use one of the following three parameters to customise the greeting that acknowledges a specific contribution:

 | newpage =
 | page    =
 | pagefix =
}}

newpage=<pagename> - user added a page
page=<pagename> - modified a page
pagefix=<pagename> - fixed a page
