There's a Church in the Wildwood 1
William S. Pitts William S. Pitts

1. There's a church in the val-ley by the wild-wood
No love-li-er place in the dale;
No spot is so dear to my child-hood
As the lit-tle brown church in the vale.

Come to the lit-tle brown church in the vale.
church in the wild-wood, O come to the church in the dale;
No Spot is dear to my child-hood
As the lit-le brown church in the vale.

2. How sweet on a clear, Sab-bath morn-ing
To list to the clear ring-ing bell;
Its tone so sweet-lt are call-ing,
O come to the church in the vale.
Come to the lit-tle brown church in the vale &c.

3. There, close by the church in the val-ley,
Lies one that I loved so well;
She Sleeps, sweetly sleeps 'neath the wil-lows;
Dis-turb not her rest in the vale.
Come to the lit-tle brown church in the vale &c.

4. There, close by the side of that loved one,
'neath the tree where wild flowers bloom,
When the fare-well hymn be chant-ed,
I shall rest by her side in the the tomb.
Come to the lit-tle brown church in the vale &c.
