The Bar-tender's Guide/Hot Spiced Rum
Appearance
Hot Spiced Rum.
(Use medium bar-glass, hot.)
- Take 1 small tea-spoonful of powdered white sugar.
- Take 1 wine-glass of Jamaica rum.
- Take 1 tea-spoonful of spices, (allspice and cloves not ground).
- Take 1 piece of sweet butter, as large as half a chestnut.
Dissolve the sugar in a little boiling water, add the rum, spices and butter, and fill the glass two-thirds full of boiling water.
