Abel, Reverend Félix Marie, o.p., s.t.d., s.s.l., b. at St. Uze, Drome, France, 29 December, 1878. Education: Preparatory Seminary of Valence, France; St. Stephen's Biblical School, Jerusalem. Ordained 1902; Professor of Church history (1903–1905), of Greek (1903– ), and of topography, archaeology, and Coptic (1905– ) at St. Stephen's Bibhcal School, Jerusalem; acts as guide for Scriptural caravans on various tours through Palestine, Phoenicia, Syria, etc., 1906– . Author of "Croisière autour de la Mer Morte"; collaborator in: Vincent, "Jérusalem, Etudes Archéologiques"; Ibid., "Bethléhem, le Sanctuaire de la Nativity"; "Conférences de St. Etienne"; contributor of articles on his travels in Palestine and on Palestinian epigraphy and archæology to the "Revue Biblique".
