CHAPTER IV.
NON-RESISTANCE.
We believe that the principle of non-resistance is clearly taught in the Scriptures, and therefore has been accepted as a doctrine of the church. In support of our position, we give the following: Christ is the Prince of Peace (Isa. 9: 6); his kingdom is not of the world and his servants do not fight (John 18: 36); the weapons of our warfare are not carnal (2 Cor. 10: 4), but we are to love our enemies (Matt. 5: 44), overcome evil with good (Rom. 12: 21), and pray for them which despitefully use and persecute us.
