Winblad Fete
Tony Winblad's friends ganged up on him the other night to surprise him on his 79th birthday. When Tony answered the door he was confronted by a crowd of well-wishers who were lugging all the makings of a turkey dinner, plus a huge birthday cake. Joining in the fun were were the Harry Jacobsons, Esther and Louis Schamus, Tom and Clara Moon, Sadie Dehner, Mrs. Eva Jenison, and her son, Cliff, the Don Littles, Mrs. Walter Pittenger, Mr. and Mrs. William Hallin, Mrs. Elsie Gaslreich, Mrs. Louise Parker, Mrs. Anna B. Miller, and Mrs. Sylvia Hemsted. The Veryl Lambertsons drove down from Yucaipa and Mr. Blanche Whitaker was there from Fallbrook. Douglas Martin accompanied his mother, Mrs. Elsie Martin to the party; last, but by no means least, was Tony's wife Marge who was in on the conspiracy from the start.
