King, Thomas Mulhall, was born in London on August 4th, 1842, and arrived in Melbourne in Oct. 1859. In Oct. 1862 be came to Queensland, and in Sept. 1863 entered the Customs service of that colony. After various promotions he was appointed in Sept. 1882 Collector of Customs, and in August 1888 became, in addition, Chief Inspector of Distilleries. Since August 1884 he has been a member of the Immigration Board, Brisbane.
