Raff, George, a native of Scotland, was elected to the first Legislative Assembly of Queensland, as one of the three members for the Metropolitan constituency of Brisbane, and took part in the Herbert and Macalister Ministries as a member of the Executive Council without portfolio from July to Nov. 1866. He died on August 8th, 1889, at the age of seventy-four.
