BRIDGEPORT, Ohio, village of Belmont County, opposite Wheeling, W. Va., on the Ohio River, and on the Baltimore and Ohio and the Pennsylvania railroads. It is situated in a coal-mining district and has extensive interests in this commodity. The principal industrial establishments are glass factories, sheet-metal and tin works. The city is governed by a mayor and council. Pop. 3,974.
