FAUSTA, Flavia Maximiana, flā'vi-ạ mak"sim-i-ā'nạ fās-tạ, Roman empress: d. probably 326 A.D. She was a daughter of the Emperor Maximianus Herculius and was married to Constantine the Great 307; and, for reasons that have never been made clear, was executed by order of her husband.
