FINK, Louis Maria, American Roman Catholic prelate: b. Triftersberg, Bavaria, 1834; d. Leavenworth, Kan., 17 March 1904. He came to the United States in 1852, was ordained priest 1857 and was successively stationed at Bellefonte, Pa.; Newark, N. J.; Covington, Ky.; and Chicago. Later he became prior of the Benedictine monastery, Leavenworth, Kan. In 1871 he was consecrated titular bishop of Eucarpia and appointed coadjutor to Bishop Miege, vicar apostolic of Kansas. He was transferred to the diocese of Leavenworth in 1877.
