FITCHÉ, or FITCHÉE, fichā, in heraldry, pointed, like a dagger; sharpened at the lower part. Fitché is usually applied to crosses to indicate that they taper from the centre downward, or fitché at the foot, when the tapering commences only at the bottom of the cross. See Heraldry.
