Barlow, Glyn, M.A., Editor of the “Madras Times”, Madras; s. of late Mr. Thomas Barlow, Actuary, Metropolitan Life Assurance Society, London; b. 1856; graduated at the London University, 1878; m. Margaret Ellen Dundon, 1884; prepared for Holy Orders first in the Church of England and next in the Church of Rome; came out to India as Lecturer, St. George’s College, Mussoorie; joined the “Madras Times”, 1894; remained as its Editor till 1900; resigned and joined the Zamorin’s College, Calicut, as Principal, 1900-3; Principal, Victoria College, Palghat, 1903-11; Principal, Maharaja’s College, Ernakulam, 1912-14; again joined the “Madras Times”, as Editor, July 1914.
