Educ.: Marlborough College; entered Punjab Police, 1868; District Superintendent, 1876; served in Afghanistan, 1869 (medal and clasp); Deputy Inspector-General. 1894.; Inspector-General, 1901; in charge of Police arrangements, Coronation Durbar, Delhi, 1903; retired, 1904.
