Harrison, Francis Capel, C.S.I. (1909), Comptroller, Auditor-General, and Head Commissioner of Paper Currency, Cal cutta; b 1863; educ; Rugby; Balliol College, Oxford; joined I.C.S. 1884; served in the executive department in Bengal for five years and then entered the financial department; Deputy Accountant Gen. Madras, 1897: N.W. Provinces and Oudh, 1899; Bombay. 1904; Head Commr of Paper Currency, 1908; Indian Correspondent of the Economic Journel. Publications: numerous papers on currency matters.
