Joshi, Purshotham Baiakrishna, J.P., F.R.C.S., Rao Sahib; b. 1850; educ: at the Elphinstone and Wilson Colleges, Bombay; a distinguished antiquarin and Mahrathi schollar and poet his research work in connection with Campbells “Gazetteer” has procured for him a certificate of Merit at the Delhi Durbar of 1913; examiner for the M.A., degree of the Bombay University, 1910.
