Kamal-ud-Din Ahmad, M.A. (Cal), Shams-ul-Ulema; s. of late Shans-ul-Ulamat, a well-known Persian and Arabic scholar of his time; educ: at the Chittagong School, and the Presidency College, Calcutta; Teacher, Rangoon Islamia School, and afterwards Sub Deputy Collector; appointed as Superintendent of the Chittagong Madrassa, 1905; invited by the Government of India to the Conference of Orientalists at Simla, 1911; Fellow of the Calcutta University; Member, Roya1l Asiatic Society; is a scholar and a linquist; title conferred, 1910; Address: Chittagong, Bengal, India.
