Malcolm, Hon’ble Brigadier General H. H. L., C.B., D.S.O., Officer Commanding the troops, and Member of the Executive Council, Ceylon; b. 1860; s. of late William Malcolm; educ: Lamington College, and Royal Military College, Sandhurst; entered 42nd Roval Highlanders, 1879; Captain, 1885; Major,1897; Lieutenant-Colonel, 1902; Brevet Colonel, 1905; Colonel, 1910; served with Egyptian Expedition, 1882; present at the battle of Tel-el-kebur.
