(1891).; b. 1831; s. of Lieutenant Colonel Alexander McLeod; educ: at St. Andrew’s and Perth Academy; served for over 30 years in the 2nd Royal Highlanders; in Crimia, 1854-55; Indian Mutiny; 1857-58; Brevet Lieutenant-Colonel and C.B. Ashanti war, 1873-74; Commanded troops in Ceylon, 1882-87; Colonel of the Black Watch Royal Highlanders, 1907: retired, 1908. Address: Bellvin; North Berwick. Club: United Service.
