Morvi, Thakur Sahib of; His Highness Sri Wasbji Ravaji, G.C.I.E.; b. 1858; succeeded, 1870; educ: at the Rajkumar College; travelled extensively in Europe; holds the Jagir of Amerdin Cutch; belongs to the same family as the rulers of Nawanagar, etc., and claims descent from the Rao of Cutch; the State is a second class one; area, 822 square miles; population, 88,000; revenue, 7½ lakhs; the Chief is bound by the same engagements with the British as the other Kathiawar Chiefs; entitled to a salute of 11 guns; owns and manages a metre gauge railway; also owns a ginning factory.
