Oldham, William Benjamin, I.C.S., C.I.E., (1883); b. Monkstown, Dublin, 1815; s. of Thomas Wilson Oldham; educ: at Kingston School and Trinity College, Dublin; joined service in Bengal, 1865; employed in Famine Service in Orissa, Bihar, Madras and Bengal and on the Frontier Service in the Lushai Hills, 1892; Member, Board of Revenue, 1900; Commanded the Calcutta Volunteer Rifles: served is Santhal disturbances, 1880-81; in South Lushai Hills, 1891-93; A.O.C. to Viceroy of India.
