Rale, Waman Ganesh, Rai Bahadur, Administrator, Akalkot State; b. 1857; educ: at Ahmednagar; entered Government service and served in the Revenue, Judicial, Irrigation, and Political departments; specially deputed to suppress Bhil riots in Ahmednagar, 1900; also in Khandesh, 1901; introduced the “Block system” on the Nia Canal, 1904; administered the State of Akalkot during the minority of the Raja.
