Sandbrook, John Arthur, Editor, the “Englishman”, Calcutta; s. of Thomas Sandbrook; b. at Swansea, South Wales, 1876; educ: privately; served in the South-African War and won Queen’s Medal with five Clasps; joined the staff of the “Western Mail”, Cardiff, as Chief Assistant Editor, 1902; came over to Calcutta, and joined the staff of the “Englishman” as Editor, 1910.
