FALKÖPING, fäl′kẽ-pĭng. A small town and railway junction in Skaraborg, Sweden. Population, about 2800. It is the scene of the victory in 1389 of Margaret, Queen of Denmark and Norway, over Albert of Mecklenburg, King of Sweden. Her victory enabled Margaret to unite Sweden with the other kingdoms.
