The New International Encyclopædia/Idalium

IDA′LIUM (Lat., from Gk. Ἰδάλιον, Idalion). A town in Cyprus, adjoining which was a forest sacred to Aphrodite, who was hence sometimes called Idalia. The site is the modern Dalin.
