IOWA WESLEYAN UNIVERSITY. A coeducational institution of learning, founded at Mount Pleasant, Iowa, in 1844, under the control of the Methodist Episcopal Church. In 1902 it had an attendance of 515, including 2 graduate, 93 collegiate, and 152 preparatory students. The faculty numbered 27. The endowment was $69,000, the income $27,000, and the value of the grounds and buildings $150,000. The library contained 8000 books.
