KRUELL, krụl, Gustav (1843—). A German-American wood-engraver, born in Düsseldorf. He was a pupil there of Brendamour. In 1873 he removed to the United States, and afterwards settled in East Orange, New Jersey. He has taken high rank as an engraver of portraits. He received honorable mention at the Paris Exposition of 1889, and a medal at the Columbian Exposition of 1893.
