Brunswick, Me., a town in Cumberland County, at the head of navigation on the Androscoggin River and on the Maine Central Railroad, opposite Topsham, and nine miles west of Bath. It possesses good water-power for its many manufactures, which include cotton goods, wood pulp, flour, wooden ware, etc. The town was settled early in the 17th century and incorporated in 1717; in early times it was known as Pejepscot, a local history of the region being published at Boston in 1878. Population, (1910), 6,621.
