Court of General Sessions

Before Judge Russel.

The Court of General Sessions yesterday, disposed of six cases. Three prisoners were sent to the State Prison, and three were remanded for sentence. Mr. Robert C. Hutchings, Assistant District Attorney, appeared for the people.

Remanded For Sentence.

Harry Vohner pleaded guilty of an attempt at grand larceny. On the 7th of April he stole from 8m le Baylor, No. 27 East Houston-street, clothing and jewelry of the value of $455. John Burk pleaded guilty of burglary in the third degree. On the 25th of April he broke into the promises of Nathan Lovi, No. 307 Ninth-avenue and carried away therefrom wearing apparel and a watch of the value of $100. Peter McCarthy, indicted for burglary in the second degree and grand larceny, was tried and convicted. It was proven beyond a doubt that on the night of the 22d of April he entered the lodging room of Ellen Haley, No. 9 Mulberry-street, from which he stole money, and articles of jewelry of the value of $511.

Sentenced To The State Prison.

Thomas Smith pleaded guilty to burglary in the third degree. On the night of the 4th of May he broke into the premises of Albert Karel, No 100 Prince-street, and stole wearing apparel of the value of $1,100. He was sentenced to the State Prison for five years. James Brady pleaded guilty of gran-1 larceny, having on the 7th of May met Robert McKinley, of No. 51 Oak-street, and knocked him down, and robbed him of a watch worth $45. The abundance of evidence admonished the prisoner that it would be dangerous for him to go to trial on an indictment of robbery in the first degree, hence his pleading guilty of grand larceny. He was sentenced to the State Prison for five years. Frank Gregory pleaded guilty of grand larceny, having, on the 6th of April last, stolen from Charles R. Schulz, of No. 333 Bowery, a watch and chain of the value of $145. He was sentenced to the State Prison for two years. The following is the
