The death is announced, at Abergele, North Wales, of Mr. John Parsons Earwaker, M.A. Oxon., an archæologist well known in Cheshire and North Wales. He was a member of the Society of Antiquaries, for which he was local hon. secretary, and also secretary of the Lancashire Records Society, and a constant contributor to the Chester Archæological Society, being formerly editor of the society's "Record and Papers." Mr. Earwaker wrote several works, including a history of East Cheshire and a valuable book on Roman Chester. At the time of his death he had nearly completed the history of St. Mary's parish, Chester.

This work was published before January 1, 1929, and is in the public domain worldwide because the author died at least 100 years ago.
