Mr. H. Caldwell Lipsett.
The death occurred in London on Friday of Mr. H. Caldwell Lipsett, journalist at the age of 44.
Mr. Lipsett was educated at Christ's Hospital, whence as a Grecian he proceeded with a scholarship to Lincoln College, Oxford, and took his degree in 1892. From the first he had made up his mind to become a journalist. After serving in the office of a Sheffield newspaper he became editor of the Civil and Military Gazette at Lahore. Upon his return to England he was, for about four years, assistant of the Daily Chronicle, and was afterwards connected with other publications. Marianne Caldwell, the actress, is Mr. Lipsett's sister. He leaves a widow and four children.
The funeral will take place at Wood Grange Park Cemetery, Forest-gate, to-morrow afternoon at 2 o'clock.
