ARDEE, Reginald le Narmand Brabazon, Brigadier-General (Lord), C.B. (1915), C.B.E. (1919); eldest son of Reginald, 12th Earl of Meath, K.P. Educ.: Wellington College and R.M.C., Sandhurst. Grenadier Guards, 1889: served in S.A. War, 1899-1902. Commanded 1st Bn. Grenadier Guards, 1912 to 1914, European War: trans, to Irish Guards, commanded 1st Bn., 1914; wounded, 1st Battle of Ypres. Commanded Res. Bn. and Regt. of Irish Guards, 1916 and 1917. Employed on Munitions Inventions Dept., 1915 and 1916; commanded 4th Guards Brigade, France, 1918 wounded (gassed). Base Commandant at Etaples, 1918 to 1919. Mentioned twice in despatches. Retired with hon. rank of Brig.-General, 1919; m. 1908, Lady Aileen Wyndham Quin, only surviving dau, of Thomas Wyndham, 4th Earl of Dunraven, K.P., and has issue-Marueen Margaret, 1909; Anthony Wyndham, 1911; Meriet Aileen, 1913.
