DALY, Captain Louis Dominic, D.S.O. (1916); 2nd Batt. Leinster Regt; served European War, operations in France and Belgium, 1914-18 (despatches thrice, Batt. Maj., D.S.O.); slightly wounded at Hooge, 11th and 12th August, 1915; employed on General Staff, 1st July, 1916-18; b. Cork, 5th August, 1885: son of Maurice Dominic Daly, Cleve Hill, Co. Cork; unmarried. Educ.: Downside School, near Bath. Served with 4th Royal Munster Fusiliers (Kerry Militia), 1905-7. Recns.: cricket, tennis, hockey, golf, motoring. Res.: Cleve Hill, Cork, Ireland.
