New Zealand Military Forces, April, 1914; Chief of the General Staff, Sept., 1914; General Staff Officer, 1st grade, 1919; retired pay, 1920. Recns.: hunting, shooting, fishing. A Member of the General Synod of the Church of Ireland; Vice-Pres. Co. Wexford Farmers' Association; son of Surgeon-Major Edward Acton-Gibbon, of Sleedagh; b. 1st Nov., 1877; m. 1911, Margaret, dau. of Alfred Crampton, of London, and has issue one dau. Res.: Sleedagh, Wexford.
