HARREL, William Vesey, C.B. (1912), C.B.E. (1919), M.V.O. (1903): served in Royal Irish Constabulary, 1886-98; was Inspector of Prisons in Ireland, 1898-1902; Assistant Commissioner of Dublin Metropolitan Police, 1902-14 (King's Police Medal), and Com. R.N.V.R., 1915-19; is a Knight of Grace of the Order of St. John of Jerusalem in England; son of the Right Hon. Sir David Harrel, P.C., K.C.B., K.C.V.O., I.S.O., of Shankill, Co. Dublin; b. 1866. Kildare Street Club, Dublin, and Royal St. George Yacht Club, Kingstown.
