Employed as Assistant British Commissioner, Anglo-Liberian Boundary Delimitation Commission, 1912-1914; Major, 1915. Commandant for training of Jamaica War Contingent, 1915. Lt.-Col. Commanding 4th (Service) Batn. British West Indies Regt., March, 1916-May, 1919. Retired pay, 1920. Took part in Gambir Expedition, 1901 (African G. S. Medal and Clasp); seconded for service with Sierra Leone Batn. West African Frontier Force, and took part in Expedition against the Kissi Tribe (N.W. Liberia), 1905 (Clasp). Commanded 4/(5) British West Indies Regt. in Egypt, France and Italy, 1916-1919. Nominated (1921) High Sheriff, Co. Donegal; b. 30th May, 1879; eldest son of late W. E. Hart, M.A., J.P., of Kilderry, Co. Donegal; m., 1917, Kath. Georgina May, dau. of late Ven. Wm. Fitzroy Garstin, Archdeacon of Raphoe.
