A.S.C. 1918; appointed Resident Magistrate 21st Sept., 1919; stationed at Ballinrobe; b. 7th July, 1885; son of ex-County Inspector R.I.C., J. E. C. Holmes, O.B.E., Avoca House, Blackrock. Recns.: riding, shooting, fishing, swimming, motoring, billiards, tennis, croquet. Res.: Hollybrook House, Hollymount, Co. Mayo.
