O'LEARY, Daniel Henry. Educated privately, and at the Queen's College, Cork. In his professional course won several 1st Class Scholarships and Exhibitions; called to the Bar, 1902. Elected M.P. for West Cork, 1916, and immediately rendered valuable service to the fishing industry in the South-west coast of Ireland: retired from Parliament, 1918. Admitted Solicitor 1921; practises in Arklow; ardent Nationalist; b. 1875; fifth son of the late Florence O'Leary, Esq., Glandart House, Bantry, Co. Cork: m. 1913, Sara, third dau. of Mr. Patrick Laide, Tralee, Co. Kerry, and has issue one dau. Res.: "Wemyss," Greystones and Arklow, Co. Wicklow.
