M. Lawson, K.C.B., Northern Command, Feb. to June, 1915: commanded a Field Squadron Royal Engineers in France, June, 1915-Sept., 1917: Adjutant 3rd Royal Sappers and Miners, 1918-20. Recns.: cricket, polo, Rugby football, hunting; played cricket for Rugby, Royal Military Academy, Royal Engineers, Bombay Presidency, and Free Foresters; played football for Royal Military Academy and Royal Engineers; eldest surviving son of Sylvester Rait Kerr, of Rathmoyle, Edenderry.
