No. 11/2557
Re: Termination of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand
For orderly administration of the Country, the Announcement of the National Council for Peace and Order No. 5/2557 dated the 22nd day of the month of May 2557 Buddhist Era, regarding the temporary termination of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand, shall be repealed and replaced by the text of this Announcement:
- The Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand, 2550 Buddhist Era, save chapter 2, shall terminate.
- The caretaker Council of Ministers shall terminate.
- The Senate shall continue performing the duties according to the number of the Senators existing on the day of coming into force of this Announcement.
- All the courts shall remain empowered to try and adjudicate upon cases according to the provisions of law and announcements of the National Council for Peace and Orders.
- The independent organisations and other organisations according to the Constitution of 2550 Buddhist Era shall continue to perform their duties.
All this shall come into force henceforth.
