Announcement of the Office of the Constitutional Court
Re: Constitutional Court’s ruling on a legal provision being contrary or repugnant to the Constitution

Whereas the Constitutional Court has issued the Ruling No 5/2556 dated 16 May 2556 declaring that section 74 of the Copyright Act, 2537 BE has a problem of constitutionality according to section 39, paragraph 2, of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand, 2550 Buddhist Era;

Therefore, in accordance with section 6 of the Constitution, section 74 of the Copyright Act, 2537 BE is no longer applicable.

The matter is hereby announced for general information.
