This chapter contains sections 337 to 370

Section 337
[edit]

Multiplying fractions is done by multiplying the numerator of the first number by the numerator of the second, and the denomonator of the first by the denomonator of the second like so: 2 to 3 is ⅔, and 6 to 8 is ¾. If you were to multiply the two fractions, you would get 6 12ths, which is ½.

Section 338
[edit]

If you want to know the product of the fractions, multiply the first number, (numerator of the first,) with the third number, (numerator of the second,) and the second number, (denomonator of the first,) with the denomonator of the second, then divide the first product by the second product, that is the product of the fractions.
