In Pompey's first consulship, Cinna, two men frequented
Maecilia: now appointed consul again,
the two have remained, but against each one a thousand have grown.

Consule Pompeio primum duo, Cinna, solebant
Maeciliam: facto consule nunc iterum
manserunt duo, sed creverunt milia in unum
singula. fecundum semen adulterio.
